Preorders refunded for Bloodlines 2, the long-awaited sequel to a classic vampire game

Greatness takes time. Apparently so, given that it's been almost twenty years since the release of the acclaimed Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, one of the few successful jumps from TTRPG to video game. (Looking at you, Call of Cthulhu.) All we have of the sequel is a single CGI trailer and, in classic game industry fashion, a preorder page… and it seems as though it may take quite a while before we get anything more.

Paradox Interactive released a statement apologizing for the long wait since the initial announcement and, concerningly, offering refunds on preorders. This likely means that what people paid for three years ago could end up being vastly different, or that they recognize it'll be quite a while before those preorders bear fruit… or, most likely, both.
