TL;DR: Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for $19.97 (reg. $199).
My 2014 Dell has been chugging along for a cool decade, but I'm not ready to give it up yet, mostly because new computers are expensive. That's why I've been looking for basically anything that will give my old computer a little more life, and I landed on Windows 10 Pro. It may not be the newest operating system, but for old devices like mine, Windows 10 Pro is an awesome improvement, and it's only $19.97 (reg. $199).
What Windows 10 does for my computer
Windows 10 Pro is just what my old machine needs to keep up with today's tasks. Even though it's not the latest model, this operating system helps it handle everything I throw at it without getting bogged down. It runs smoothly on older hardware, and I can still get work done without the frustration of endless loading times. Plus, with seamless Microsoft 365 integration, I'm able to easily collaborate with my team, access my files from anywhere, and stay productive without feeling like I'm missing out on the benefits of newer tech.
Security was another big reason for making the switch. As my computer ages, I worry more about its vulnerabilities, but Windows 10 Pro has me covered. Between BitLocker encryption, Windows Hello, and built-in firewall protection, I can keep my data safe and sound.
And, since I can control everything remotely with Remote Desktop Services, I don't have to be tied to my desk to make the most of my machine. It's like I'm getting all the perks of a new computer, but with the comfort and familiarity of the one I've had for years.
One day I'll get a new computer, but dropping a few dollars for a lifetime license to a solid operating system is a whole lot cheaper than buying a brand new computer.
If you want to keep your old computer chugging along a little longer, check out Windows 10 Pro for $19.97.
