This $70 Chromebook has no business being this good

TL;DR: Save 70% on this Chromebook with a refurbished model. Check out now before they're all sold out.

While packing my suitcase to go home for the holidays, I had a stomach-sinking feeling: What if the airline lost my luggage, along with my $1,000+ MacBook? Leaving it at home isn't an option (unless I want to get fired), but the risk of losing my precious laptop is too severe. So here's what I did.

You know those Chromebooks meant for students? I got one because they were only $70 for a refurbished model. Yup, I'm packing this in my suitcase and traveling worry-free. You can order yourself one, too, before they're sold out—I think there's only a handful left in stock at this price.

I'll state the obvious: This Chromebook isn't on par with my MacBook, but that's not the point. I just needed a laptop for email and Google Drive while I work remotely over the holidays (yup, it's unfortunate), and this will get the job done with its AMD processor and Chrome OS.

Something it does beat my MacBook on? Size. The Chromebook is more compact, which is perfect for travel, and it's lighter—yeah, lighter than the MacBook Air, which is pretty insane! That's why you should seriously consider heading to checkout and getting one before they're gone.

I also feel like the Chromebook is secretly meant for travel. It can withstand drops and spills, which I know will happen when I work in my tiny childhood bedroom for two weeks (eesh). Plus, I get almost ten hours of battery life, which my MacBook wishes it could get.

Check out now to get one of these refurbished Chromebooks for $70 (reg. $239). They're perfectly imperfect as second devices or for kids.
