TL;DR: I got fed up with my Microsoft 365 subscription, so I decided to grab this Microsoft Office 2024 lifetime license while it was discounted to $140. Check out what I thought!
I can't be the only one who's sick and tired of paying subscriptions for everything from Uber Eats and Netflix to Microsoft 365. I mean, what am I? A money tree? I wish. This year, I decided it would finally be the year I got my finances together and cut out subscriptions that really weren't serving me.
One of those was Microsoft 365, but don't get it twisted! I love Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, but I couldn't justify basically renting them out each month, especially since Microsoft just announced that they're raising the price for the first time in 12 years. When I saw that the newest edition of Microsoft Office was price dropped to only $139.97, I knew I had to hop on that deal. And boy, am I glad I did!
Microsoft apps that are actually mine
I was already over the moon about removing yet another subscription fee from my life, but also just the fact that now my Microsoft apps are, well, mine for once. Not to mention, avoiding the impending Microsoft 365 price increase was another big bonus.
There was a ton of fuss when Microsoft Office 2024 was released last year, and for good reason. I'll be honest—I'm not very good at explaining things (or quite understand all the technical aspects of most products), so I'll let this neat graphic do the talking for me:

Something else I was especially stoked about was Microsoft Office's new AI integration! I'm all about workflow maximization, which is why I love how Excel's AI has helped me save time when analyzing data. I've even gotten some seriously smart AI recommendations for my PowerPoint formatting and designs (which have actually helped me impress my manager).
