I've just discovered a seemingly undocumented popculture reference in a Simpsons episode. It's in the 1992 ep, "New Kid on the Block." Homer goes to the "Frying Dutchman" for all-you-can-eat seafood, and when the Sea Captain boots him out, he says, "Fairly warned ye be, says I," which is, of course, part of the voice-over narration from Disneyland's Pirates of the Carribbean ("No fear have ye of evil curses? Says ye! Properly warned ye be, says I.")
Yes, I'm a giant goddamned geek.
