A court in Germany recently upheld the enforceability of the Free Software Foundation's General Public License (AKA the GPL). This was the first court decision in which the enforceability of the GPL was upheld, so until this moment, no one knew whether the GPL would withstand a court challenge. The German decision has finally been translated by the Oxford Internet Institute so that English speakers can get a sense of what its nuances were:
