Gunther von Hagens, the controversial artist who "plastinates" and displays human and animal corpses, has bought an industrial facility in western Poland where hopes to mass produce his plastinated human bodies. (Previous posts about von Hagens here and here.) According to a Reuters article, von Hagens's father, Gerhard Liebchen, is lobbying for the town of Sieniawa Zarska to support the plan. Things got dicier though when the Polish and German press reported that Liebchen is suspected of sending Poles to concentration camps during World War II.
