Remix Reading is a project that got creative people in the town of Reading, England, to gather and produce tons of CC-licensed work, actively remixing one another in a vibrant, ongoing event.
Organizer Tom Chance sez, "We've just announced the winners of the Remix Reading competition! The winners were a fusion of classical, ambient, Asian and essay for the audio category; a computer graphic interpolation of a painting in the image category; an upbeat take on a distinctly downbeat poem in the text category; and an almighty montage / mashup using music, documentary footage, mini epics and artwork in the video category. Who'd have thunk that all this could come out of collaboration between artists in Reading and others as far flung as New York City!"
