David Rothenberg is a jazz clarinetist who jams with animals, specifically birds and whales. He's also a philosophy professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and wrote two books on his efforts to make music with birds and whales: Why Birds Sing: A Journey Into the Mystery of Birdsong and Thousand Mile Songs: Whale Music in a Sea of Sound.
