A few weeks ago, an unassuming YouTube channel uploaded its first video out of nowhere with very little fanfare. Despite its low-key presentation, Saul4Democracy turned out to be something special: a web series run by Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould, who managed to get Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks to reprise their iconic roles as Saul Goodman and Mike respectively.
At first, it just seemed like a one-off, posted in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. Then there was a follow-up, and just now another, released at a regular weekly cadence and each focusing on a different aspect of the American political system. This time around, it's all about misdirection, which is being brought up in relation to politics for absolutely no reason.
It doesn't quite fill the void Better Call Saul left in its wake, but it's fun to see Jimmy still doing his thing in 2026 all the same. I hope this thing keeps going for a good long while.
