I interviewed Marc Weingarten today about his new book, The Gang That Wouldn't Write Straight, which is being released tomorrow, November 15. It's a history of the "New Journalism" movement exemplified by Hunter S. Thompson, Tom Wolfe, and Joan Didion. I haven't finished the book yet, but I am loving it so far.
Marc's (who is a friend) book is a lot of fun to read.
T.C. Boyle says of the book: "Well-researched, beautifully wrought —- this is an addictively readable history of the revolution in American journalism."
Here's the MP3 of the interview, as a Bit Torrent file.
