The Playdate is a one-of-a-kind game console with a 2.7 inch screen, not a device on which one might expect to play an MMO.
It has everything you would expect in a TMORPG (tiny multiplayer online RPG): quests, NPCs, combat, and loot — also, chickens, cats, and dogs. Combat and NPC interactions are triggered by bumping into things. There is even voice chat activated by a push to talk button. The game does not appear to utilize Playdate's signature feature, the hand crank, which seems like an odd choice, but still, it's an MMO you can fit in your pocket.

PointlessQuest is free to play — for now, the developer says — and can be downloaded at itch.io, where you can name your own price.
