Spirited Away is still so lovely as an old Nintendo game

Spirited Away remains my favorite Studio Ghibli movie of all time, a transporting coming of age story about a little girl named Sen who loses her parents and ends up working at a bathhouse for the spirits as she searches for a way to save them. The 8-Bit Cinema team over at Cinefix seems to agree, crafting a lovely tribute to the game that not only encapsulates its plot in a mere four and a half minutes, but captures some of its most touching moments in 8 (and occasionally 16) bits. If for some reason you've never seen Spirited Away, stop now and go watch it before you proceed: It's absolute magic.
