"Crazy Optical Illusions" are the precise opposite

My love for turning over rocks in niche corners of the Internet has been well-documented in these hallowed pages. I've wanted to share several Twitter niches but couldn't in good conscience link readers to X, that Nazi-infested shithole.

Today that changes! Not because Xitter improved, but because one niche account I've been watching finally jumped ship to Bluesky. Feast your eyes on Crazy Optical Illusions, one of my favorite bits of Internet art ever—because yes, this is art.

The answer is yes, by the way. COI is pitch-perfect anti-humor, taking classic optical illusions and removing the illusion part. Even better than the "illusions" are the confused or angry comments they attract from people confronting these very possible impossible illusions.

The page is littered with such interactions, tempting discussion where none is asked. Maybe the biggest illusion of all is one's own self-importance.
