Due is a reminder app that really works

Reminders never work for me. I set a reminder, I get reminded, and if I don't do the thing right that second, it just sits there, eternally taunting me with its incompleteness. It turns out that what I needed was an app that does something that fills me with rage when humans do it. I need to be nagged incessantly. I need Due.

Setting reminders in Due is super simple, using natural language, or a date/time picker that looks absurd at first glance, but is actually clever and intuitive. Reminders that are ignored will automatically snooze, trigger a new notification at a customizable interval and keep popping up until cleared.

There are a number of caveats with Due, however. The iOS and Mac apps are separate purchases, and only a year of feature updates is included. A subscription is required for any new features added after that first year, but bug-fix and compatibility updates are always free. I think Due is implementing the paid/subscription model in a pretty responsible way, so it is fully functional with a single purchase without a subscription.
