Blade Runner 2099 trailer

Blade Runner 2099, sequel to 1981's Blade Runner and 2017's Blade Runner 2049, lands on Prime Video November 25. Though it's a TV series, all 8 episodes will drop at once, so no-one will be left hanging. Here's the trailer.

Writer and producer Silka Luisa (Shining Girls) is running the show, with Ridley Scott as executive producer. It stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer. And here's the premise:

Fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, Los Angeles has been reborn, just not by humanity. Cora, a fugitive in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. Forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant days from dying, she hunts down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city.

The original was set in 2019. If considered as a quadratic series, the next one should be Blade Runner 2169 (or they might have a prequel titled Blade Runner 2009.)
