Disney is currently at work transforming the former Muppets Courtyard at its Hollywod Studios in Orlando into Monstropolis, the city of monsters from Pixar's franchise, Monsters, Inc. They've just released information about the story this new area will be telling.

Parkgoers will be visiting the monsters' city, Monstropolis, on a special H.U.M.A.N. Day, celebrating a new alliance between humans and monsters. For the first time, humans will be allowed inside Monstropolis.

By the way, James Grosch of @Guide2WDW speculates that the newspaper's articles about restaurant menus and the Glob Theater show supposedly on "Page 8, Col. 15" is a hint that information about Monstropolis's restaurant and show will be revealed at the D23 fan convention to be hosted by Disney on August 15.
From Disney:
H.U.M.A.N. Day, short for "Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice," marks a historic milestone for the city. Part celebration, part cultural exchange, the event is designed to introduce humans to life inside Monstropolis while helping monsters discover that humans are not so frightening after all. Now that's something to snarl – ahem, smile about!
Human guests will have the chance to explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters in a totally new way. For the first time, two worlds once separated are meeting face to scaly, furry, and fang-filled face – brought together not by screams, but by laughter.

Parkgoers will be able to dine at Harryhausen's, a monster restaurant featured in the first Monsters, Inc. movie, attend the Glob Theater (undoubtedly the former theater of Muppet*Vision 3D), and, on a newly built thrill ride, travel on the monsters' closet door portal devices.
An opening date for the Monstropolis land has not been announced, but most speculation has it opening in 2028.
Fans of the Muppets who may be bemoaning the loss of the Muppets Courtyard will be cheered by the fact that a newly re-themed Rockin' Rollercoaster Starring the Muppets just opened last month on the other side of the Hollywood Studios park.
