Dan Bowers creates enchanting sculptures from found objects for his wife. He shared photos of the mini artworks in this video on his Instagram page. The video is captioned "I make these little sculptures for my wife to express my affection".
My favorite thing about these pieces is how they transform everyday objects like batteries, dice, dominoes, and LEGO pieces into body parts for dolls and creatures that look like they wandered out of an old storybook. Every sculpture looks like it could be part of a museum exhibit. Looking at these makes me realize how many small objects I mindlessly throw away when I could be turning them into treasures instead.
Bowers' wife is one lucky lady. This is such a creative and sweet way to show someone you love them. Handmade gifts (and especially whimsical little dolls made from scrap materials) are the best kind.
