Would you waterboard yourself for fun? What about pulling out your fingernails? Or hooking a car battery up to your temples? If you answered yes to all of the above, newly-announced indie game CAPTCHA Hell might be right up your alley.
Rage games, of course — that being games developed to intentionally induce frustration — are nothing new. Takeshi's Challenge came out in 1986, for crying out loud. CAPTCHA Hell tackles an entirely modern frustration, though: trying to get access to a website that seems to be actively working against you. The nigh-endless stream of handcrafted CAPTCHAs starts off fairly normal, but give it a bit and you'll graduate to making bread and clicking a trillion times.
Trillion. With a T. Why you would put yourself through this is a mystery to me, but I expect the bragging rights to be substantial.
