What did the sky look like yesterday? A web project called What Color Was The Sky answers that for any location, using real atmospheric conditions to build a written and visual portrait of the sky.
It draws on cloud cover, humidity, precipitation, air quality, and sunset timing to describe the sky over a place you choose. My favorite part is watching the background shift to match how the sky actually looked.
Type in your city and you get a description that's part data, part mood: what the sky was doing and what it felt like.
