Love love LOVE this pattern for a chunky, handmade Super Mario villain scarf. Link (via Wonderland)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

I have been visiting BoingBoing going on two years now. For a while it was even my homepage. So you can imagine my surprise one morning when I saw this scarf. It was birthday/Christmas/anniversary present from my ex-girlfriend. Of all the weird and cool things BoingBoing has turned me onto I never thought one would be hanging in my closet.

Wow, that almost makes me wish it was cold!
