3,000-year-old Michael Jackson statue?

 Images 410*307 Egyptian-Bust-Large
This Egyptian bust has become a popular attraction at Chicago's Field Museum because it's a spitting image of Michael Jackson, complete with a tweaked nose. It was carved between 1550-1050 BCE and depicts a woman. "Statue's a Dead Ringer for Jacko" (NBC Chicago)

  1. WOW!

This statue looks alot like Michael Jackson, and is it really 3000 years old? Well people saw a star like Michael in the future. Love yew Michael.

  2. I’m thinking a plastic version, with a hinged “ventriloquist dummy” jaw and audio sensor that sings along to the vocals of Micheal Jackson hits.

Greatest X-mas gift of 2009. Please send me a check for 15% Gross.

  3. Not an alien. Michael Jackson is an immortal being, like a Highlander. He simply changes identities periodically.

  4. You’re not really a pop culture figurehead unless there are sightings of you after you’re dead.

  5. FWIW: IANAMJF but, I was at the King Tut Exhibit at the DeYoung Museum in SF last Saturday. There were two specific pieces that looked A LOT like MJ. Creeped me out. I don’t think it’s too much to think that he used some of these works as “models” for his plastic surgeon to work towards?

  6. to me the egyptciens favored and admirred the same facial features the the western society does, fine nose, wide moulth and big eyes. Michael Jackson was an umbalanced person, but I am sure he took that as an example for his plastic goal.

  7. Ya know maybe this was the inspiration for the look he was trying to achieve.

Mere mortals take a pic from a magazine to their hairstylist so they can copy a certain style. Maybe Jackson decided he wanted to look like a 3,000+ prince?

  8. This just proves that the ancient Egyptians had cosmetic surgery, though how much of it they did *before* death would be interesting to know.

How come no one has invented that time-TV yet?

  9. I feel like this isn’t the only example of this. Isn’t there an ancient stone statue somewhere (perhaps of an Egyptian pharaoh?) that bears a similar and equally eerie similarity to Charlie Parker? I can’t find a picture ANYWHERE but I know I’ve seen it…does such a statue (or bust, maybe) ring a bell with anyone?

  10. Uhm, yeah this looks like michael
Michael doesn’t naturally look like that
    He did have plastic surgery

  11. Michael had African ancestory, Egypt is also in Africa.

So, the best bet is the woman in that statue is Michael’s great-great-great….grandma, or simply his ancestor.

  12. To agree w/ #9 –

There are definitely some other lookalikes in the King Tut Exhibit travelling around. Freaked me out.

  13. Really looks like him! It’s a little bit funny, but I think Michael would laugh about it too..:)
    RIP Michael!I love you!

  14. PONDER THIS! Was Michael Jackson reincarnated from many eons ago? Did he exist as an Egyptian Pharoah? If so will Michael Jackson return back to the world some day?

  15. honestly I think that Michael Jackson simply modelled himself after this statue with all the plastic surgeries he’s had, that was likely his intent, NOT the other way around

  16. Yes, It does You know.
I wouldnt be suprised if he was reincarnated I mean we cant be the only People who experienced something so amazing.
If it looked like him in the thriller, billie jean, Beat it Ages I might believe it more ;’)

  17. It may be that Michael loved the statue so much he wanted to look similar after he was diagnosed? Remember now, he looked way different when he was younger.

  18. YOu never know probably Micheal jackson saw this image before he got his plastic surgery done, he would have wanted to look like this for some reason

  19. He didnt see the statue, according to the staff of the museum…. But i think michael looks like the statue because of the eyes , which is not strange because he did have african ancestors and egypt is a country in africa…. peace !
