Etsy seller lanternfly has made a stupendous octo-chandelier: "This octopus chandelier is made from sculpted arms and head, she has pink albino taxidermy glass eyes, pearl encrusted body covered with vintage and new pearls, scallop shells, pink pearl candles and painted with pearlized paint."

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

  • AirPillo

    Opulent, and terrifying.

  • Slowermo

This is the kind of stuff I can’t have in my house because of society.

  • Bonegoose

Nice job ripping off Adam Wallacavage.

    • Teller

Copy that. And I own one of Adam’s, thanks to BB. Purchased before the uh global financial adjustment.

  • Eskimo

Bonegoose beat me to it; Adam Wallacavage has been making beautiful octopus chandaliers for years.

  • Itsumishi

Man if the tentacles were angled right and it had a motor inside it would double as the greatest ceiling fan ever made!

    • tuckels

I read tentacles as testicles and then went back to looking at the picture to try and locate said testicles.

      I think i need sleep.

  • w.dervish

I like Adam’s also, butI’ve never seen one of his that had a head, eyes or personality, not to mention be able to afford. I think this is totally different and great!
