If you attended last year's World Science Fiction Convention in Montreal or have registered for this year's WorldCon in Melbourne, you're eligible to nominate works for the Hugo Awards. The five-most-nominated works in each category will be shortlisted for the final ballot, which is sent out to this year's attendees. I was honored to be nominated twice last year, and I've got high hopes for this year, too! For the record, my eligible 2009 publications are:

Novel: Makers, Tor, October 2009
Short story: To Go Boldly, in The New Space Opera 2, edited by Gardner Dozois and Jonathan Strahan, Eos, June 1999

Hugo Nominations (via Charlie Stross)

Previously:
  • Ultraman Hugo award - Boing Boing
  • Hugo Award winners for 2008 - Boing Boing
  • Hugo Voters' Packet: practically every Hugo-nominated work as a ...
  • Boing Boing: Hugo award pix

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Yes, welcome back Cory, there was a distinct lack of banana posts!. And good luck on the Hugo. I picked up Makers at the London book launch and read it in 2 days. Most original piece of lit I’ve read in a long time.

    Cory,

Good to have you back, brutha.

Nice to have you back, Cory! Hope you had a relaxed vacation. I agree with John above. If Makers doesn’t make the final ballot I’d be disappointed.
