Copyfighting UK MP Tom Watson (who voted against his party whip on the loathsome Digital Economy Act) is styling in this STEP OUTSIDE ANALOGUE BOY tee made for him by @jkerrstevens. WANT.

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Does it really have that analogue TV glow to it? I’m curious because that kind of continuous-tone effect is ridiculously difficult to reproduce on a t-shirt, without showing an edge where the tone blends completely with the color of the shirt.

If the meaning is supposed to be what I think it’s supposed to be, a comma is really needed. Otherwise, the meaning is something else entirely…

That was exactly my first thought.

      Step outside Analogue Boy.
      Step outside, Analogue Boy.
      Step outside analogue, boy.

To paraphrase a Michael Caine bit on Letterman a century ago:
What is this thing called love?
What is this thing called, Love?
“What is this thing?” called Love.

Analogue Boy is getting a big cramped, and would appreciate it if everyone left him immediately via the nearest available orifice.

Are you sure the Labour MPs were whipped on the DEB vote?

    • Chris B

      Yep, a 3 line whip.

      See: http://boingboing.net/2010/04/07/draconian-uk-digital.html

  • jere7my

Er…shouldn’t that be “ANALOG BOY”? Or is the boy in question analogous in some way to something else?

    • Simon Bradshaw

      Jere7my,

Some of us live in this place called ‘not the USA’ and it turns out we are allowed to spell certain words differently.

      • Antinous / Moderator

We get a comment practically every day of the year calling Cory an idiot for using Labour or summat. They have absolutely no idea.

I do draw the line at gaol. That’s just mental.

I wonder when we’ll start seeing all these ‘grassroots’ shirts showing up on the people of Haiti and other Third World locals. As long as someone’s got a cause, the T-Shirt printing industry will survive.

Maybe newspapers should start publishing on clothing.

I must admit that “maths” bothers me. I understand that it is used that way because it is seen as a shortening of mathematics, but that word happens to be singular, not plural, so the shortening doesn’t make any sense. It’s kind of like saying “I need to take a baths.”
