The technology that links taxonomy and Star Trek

  • Pawel Loj

Most/all(?) are polish. I remember them. These were pretty ugly stinking things ;-)

    • Wreckrob8

I get that they are all apparently Polish and names like dla dzieci/for you. But what does nymfa mean and who and what is it for?

      • koko szanel

In Greek mythology, a nymph (νύμφη) is a female nature-spirit.

        • Wreckrob8

I do get that and I haven’t forgotten all my Greek. Still you could not call any product in English nympho or nympha, could you? Problems of the non-translatability of product names was what I was thinking of.

      • Pawel Loj

Nymfa must be Czech, because in Polish it is Nimfa. It is a female nature spirit, like koko szanel said.

  • guanto

    Bah, soap is for wimps.

    And Europeans, apparently.

  • sean

I was staying in a cheapo motel one time and the wrapped soap they had in the bathroom was called “First Date”. Ah, that special first date…what an appropriate time for soap.

  • twodimensionalme

    Looks so Japanese.

What, no flippant “For those of you who *snicker* actually use soap *eye roll*, you might find this enjoyable…” opening line for this one?

  • Cefeida

That first soap posted here on BB features the characters from the first Polish children’s tv programme, from 1962. Two finger puppets have adorable conversations.
