The Snowden Principle

  • Boundegar

How unfortunate.  But I’ll point out that’s not a bad price for a Sonicare.

  • Chuck

Finally! A “healthy” alternative to the traditional kinds of white power.

Also — are you supposed to use the toothbrush to play your guitar in your white power band?

    • benher

“White Power! For Gum Disease! Before it gets toooo laaaaaa-eh-ehte!”

Also for giggles – black man toothpaste from Taiwan!

      • penguinchris

That’s “Darlie” toothpaste (I used it in Thailand) – I was told by a professor I worked with in Thailand that it was originally called “Darkie”!

You should be able to find it in most Chinatowns if you’re curious, it tastes pretty excellent by toothpaste standards.

  • Bill

It’s encoraging to see such obliviousness to racial double meanings.

    • Spezz

Pretty sure this was a case of poor punctuation/formatting, you know like:
“Helping your uncle, Jack, off his horse.”
      vs.
“Helping your uncle jack off his horse”

      • malindrome

        Obligatory Onion reference.

        • AerosmithNirvana

Eh, that joke was around long before the interwebs.

  • jowlsey

Now it’s the ‘HealthyWhite Toothbrush.’ How boring.

  • tomrigid

My Sonicare is black and I can’t go back.

    • bbonyx

I wanted to chime in with more than a “like” here. You, sir, have provided me with my much-needed lunchtime laugh of the day.

    • millie fink

      Double plus good, sir!

tomrigid (?!) wins all of today’s BB threads.

      • relawson

I don’t know. I’d split them up evenly between tomrigid and xian

  • Petzl

Wow, imagine the synergy with other “white” organizations….  I can see the advertising campaign, which naturally deals with “white pride”….  Yes, this is such a well-chosen product name!

    • RJ

I dunno, now… you could be onto something here. I could imagine seeing one of those full-page ads in a magazine. Taking up most of the page would be a beautiful non-caucasian woman with big smile on her face, showing off her perfect white teeth. In big, block letters over her head, two words: “WHITE PRIDE.”

The remainder of the page would be taken up with the toothbrush itself and maybe some blurb about how effective Sonicare is.

It would be outrageous, but a kind of “oh, you!” way.

      • Petzl

        So, sorta like a “bizarro-Benneton.”
Have your people call my people.

  • Jason Baker

The good news… this is the only thing on BB tagged “white power.”

  • xian

Customers who bought this item also bought…

    white sheets

    • phor11

      and Saltines.

  • millie fink

I think I found their spokeslady–

  • Yavar

Healthy White is the name of this product line, and it’s a power (electric) toothbrush. Honestly, if the wrap text had been a little shorter I don’t think anyone would have noticed. Is this really newsworthy?

    • http://twitter.com/Noddy93 Noddy Ninetythree

      yes. yes it is.

    • IronEdithKidd

      No, but it is amuse-worthy.

    • millie fink

The Lonely Island was on it years ago in the opening segment to a pilot TV show. It’s downright hilarious.

Reminds me of the “Digital Blue Movie Camera” – it’s an educational product! Won’t somebody think of the CHIDREN?! http://www.kenttrustweb.org.uk/kentict/kentict_hardware_digitalblue_resources.cfm
