The Next War: a comic for the centenary of World War One

In honor of the centenary of World War One, we are proud to present Simon Gane's illustrated adaptation of Osbert Sitwell's haunting, classic poem The Next War. It appears, with many other beautiful and thoughtful adaptations, in the new book Above the Dreamless Dead: World War I in Poetry and Comics.

About the Author

Osbert Sitwell, 1892-1969, wrote "The Next War" after serving as an officer in the Grenadier Guards from 1914 to 1917.

Simon Gane is an illustrator and comics creator.
