As promised, noise pop pioneers The Jesus and Mary Chain are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their seminal album Psychocandy by playing it start to finish on tour.
They've just started the UK leg and will reach the US and Canada on May 1. I last saw The Jesus and Mary Chain play live around 1987 and it was a psychoactive tour-de-force, even though it was so dark on stage I couldn't see the band and they only played for 20 minutes before walking off in a wail of feedback.
