Lewisham Police's grim, barrier-squished Christmas tree has been judged the most depressing one in the UK, writes Hannah Al-Othman.
Draped with a single string of bland white lights, the tree leans at a odd angle and appears to be imprisoned outside the south London police department.
One tweeter, Rachel, posted a picture of the tree, saying: "Lewisham police station put up a Christmas tree, then kettled it."
Her post was retweeted almost 500 times, and Twitter was quick to respond with the festive policing puns.
