VP Pence breaks tie, Senate votes to begin debating GOP bill to kill Obamacare in win for Trump

The U.S. Senate, aided by Trump's second in command, has voted to begin debate on the GOP's plan to destroy Obamacare.

Senator John McCain left Arizona, where he's being treated for brain cancer, to cast a critical vote to steal health care from other cancer patients. Vice President Mike Pence cast the deciding vote.

The motion to proceed has passed. There's no health care bill, but now the senate has some time to come up with one.

A milestone in corruption and secrecy, and an insult to the lives of Americans.

Nobody knows what the GOP health care bill is. It's also not clear whether today's procedural vote means the GOP has a chance at actually repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare).
