Friday Freak-Out: Mellow Japanese psych to end the summer with Yuya Uchida & The Flowers covering "Summertime" from their 1968 album, Challenge!. Reissued on the Phoenix label and available from San Francisco's Aquarius Records, Challenge! also features covers of Hendrix, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, and a smattering or originals. Uchida is better known for his heavier psych outfit Flower Travellin' Band that took him into the 1970s.
