In Richmond, Kentucky, police were called to a hotel after reports of gunfire. They arrested Samuel Riddell, 55, who had apparently been firing his gun out the window. Riddell apparently told police that he "observed aliens in the parking lot and was shooting at them."
A woman sharing the room with Riddell had locked herself in the bathroom during Riddell's shooting spree. According to police, Riddell is a convicted felon and was in possession of two handguns and a semi-automatic rifle.
Fortunately, nobody was injured but bullets had hit vehicles and penetrated another hotel room next door.
I expect it will be difficult for Riddell to prove his story to the court, but it will also be difficult for the court to prove that the Riddell wasn't protecting our planet from an extraterrestrial invasion.
