In Bursa, Turkey, Beyhan Mutlu, 50, was drinking with his buddies when he walked off into a forest. He didn't come back so his wife called authorities who quickly organized a search party to look for him.
During the search operation, they began to call his name.
"I am here," said Mutlu, who had stumbled on the search party in the forest and joined in, not realizing they were searching for him.
From the BBC News:
"Don't punish me too harshly, officer. My father will kill me," he reportedly told [rescue workers].
Police then drove Mr Mutlu home. It is not clear if he was given a fine.
