New York's largest health care provider just fired 1,400 employees who refused Covid shots

Northwell Health of New York fired 1,400 employees (about two percent of its staff) this week for refusing to get vaccinated for Covid-19.

The State of New York says all 650,000 heath care workers must be vaccinated without exception if they want to keep their jobs.

John Trinchino, a registered nurse who was fired told The New York Times that he didn't need a shot because he's already contracted Covid and believed his acquired antibodies would keep him from getting Covid again.

Mr. Trinchino added that requiring vaccination violated his civil liberties, and he did not plan on getting vaccinated.

"All this is going to lead to is worse care for the patients, and I'm just disgusted by it," he said.
