I sit here, at the community pool, watching my kid enter her second hour of swimming while I work on a Sunday, after a long week of driving her to gymnastics practices, and helping her cope with some fairly big disappointments that are out of her control with banana cream pie, only to learn that not just this week, but our entire relationship as dad and The Child is fake.
