Interactive site explores 45 years of fashion

Fitdrop is an interactive website by Iain Tate that explores fashion trends from 1980 to 2025, turning decades of style into something you can drag and drop and learn about on screen. Instead of scrolling through static images, users click on different cutouts of Iain, drag them to the corner, and learn about each outfit. You can also reset the experience entirely and start fresh. Explore the project at Fitdrop.

This hands-on learning style makes fashion history feel alive, showing how trends overlap, recycle, and evolve over time.

From Fitdrop:

"Hi, I'm Iain. I work at a place called FOOD. I've been a web nerd for a lot of years. But my ability to make things has always been limited by my inability to code. My brain just doesn't work that way. 'Vibe coding' is allowing me to make silly projects like this. Things that I'd only dreamed of being able to make previously. I'm happy to share more on how I did it. Come find me on Instagram, LinkedIn or Github."
