In an unsettling sign that Southern California's bear population may be entering its prep-school era, two smarter-than-average bruins were caught on video casually hopping a fence onto a Calabasas school campus with the kind of confidence usually associated with students arriving late to first period.
A commuter in Calabasas captured two bears lurking around at Viewpoint School on Mulholland Highway on Tuesday.
Video taken around 6 a.m. shows the bears strolling around in a parking lot before jumping a fence onto the campus.
The person who took the videos said she called 9-1-1. It's unclear what happened to the bears after the sighting was reported.

Officials are unable to confirm if the bears attended class or were still on campus.
