Domino's Pizza picked a fight over a video game nobody asked about

The Wendy's Twitter account and its consequences have been a disaster for online discourse. Every brand on social media thinks they're cool and your friend and will say anything if they think it'll get you to buy a personal pan pizza that tastes like burnt rubber.

Even then, it's baffling that Domino's Pizza, of all companies, has chosen to dirty their hands with the shit-flinging surrounding the recently-announced God of War: Laufey. As you may have expected, the worst people on the planet are objecting, to put it nicely, to the idea of a God of War spinoff where you play as (Dios mio!) a woman. Well, the worst people you know and Domino's Pizza, which bizarrely jumped into this latest meaningless culture war issue on the side of the culture warriors.

Okay, Domino's. Thanks? Who asked you? That was the sentiment shared by Santa Monica Studio themselves, who ratioed Domino's with a fairly succinct "ok thanks for the feedback, dominos pizza corporate account." I think brands on social media are getting a little too comfortable when they start using ragebait as a legitimate marketing tactic.
