By then, I was a little older, and although no wiser, I had involved myself in enough bad-for-my-health recreational activities to have a new-found appreciation for the complex sound of The Magic Band's masterpiece. Now it's one of my favorites, (though my all-time favorite Beefheart LP is still the out-of-print follow-up, Lick My Decals Off, Baby.)"
