I wish I had more of a limp so I could justify getting this. Hell, I might get it just to have in advance. Surely my gait’s gonna fall apart sooner or later.

Can’t say I’ll want to keep the croc, though. That bit’s gotta go.

Me, I’m going to market a line of walking sticks made from PVC pipes.

I’m calling them Alistair Cooke’s bones!

Thanks for your interest in my leg bone cane. If you would like to order one my best advice is to call me at 315 796-2263 or email me at Fuzewase@aol.com. I would love to talk to you and show you some of my canes. The basic leg bone cane that you see above is $79.95. It is strong, light weight and almost indestructable. To add to the humor I have a two inch croc on the bottom. Special order and hand painted canes are available. It makes a great gift or a good walking stick even if you don’t need a cane. Many people who refuse to use a cane because it symbolizes old age and weakness will use a My 3rd Leg cane because it is fun. Give me a call I’d love to talk with you. Bob – Owner My 3rd Leg, Inc.

As someone who has known his whole life that he’d need prosthetic hips by 40, I had planned on getting the surgeon to give me the bone tops (femur heads) and make them into cane tops.

But I like this idea too.

he said he mortgaged his home to pay for the $37,750 mold cost. Is that really what a mold for something like that would cost??? He’s gonna want to get this cane on QVC or something to make that money back!!

I expect to see House using this on a future episode.

I so wish I had had one of these 30 years ago when I had a compound fracture of my right femur! While I was recovering with plates, screws and pins, I did have a rad cane made for me from a juniper stump and root, I would have totally rocked this cane as a show-and-tell object. Back then I simply yanked down my britches to show off the 14 inch scar on my thigh. Jeez, to be 18 and proud again!

My name is Bob Parow. What a nice surprise to see my cane mentioned on Boing Boing. Thank you for the kind words and the encouragement. My business is very new and right now I am trying to make it grow. Getting the word out to people is a challange and websites like Boing Boing seems to be a good way to do this. Thanks to whomever created the original post. If you have a way to spread the word to your friends, I would apreciate it. I sure am enjoying every success and every challenge I encounter. I would love to hear from anyone who would like to order a cane but just as important I would appreciate the opportunity to chat about whatever is on your mind. I have learned an awful lot from people just like you and if you have a suggestion for me, my mind is open.
