      1. That would be chess grand master or former chess world champion.  I wonder why he has chosen to omit his chess career from his byline?

  1. Putin’s change of tactics seems to be backfiring.  In the past, the Russian response would have been to let a Russian Orthodox mob beat them, then arrest them for ‘inciting  religious hatred’.
