Why not? The Beatles haven’t released any new albums for over forty years (and I’m not counting things like the surviving members dubbing background vocals onto an unreleased John Lennon track). And, before the inevitable haters show up, it’s worth reviewing the history of Apple vs. Apple if you think that the Beast of Cupertino is necessarily the evil one here.

MODERATOR NOTE: EDITED TO FIX LINK.

THAT’s the origin of the “sosumi” sound?  I had no idea!

Yeah, not news. This was part of the resolution of the trademark war back in 2007. Apple Inc. paid a (probably huge) sum of money to buy the Apple Corps brand outright and license its usage back to them.

Fortunately, he’s not for sale, but many of his purported followers are.

Apparently some will work for free, providing you agree not to report them to the Child Protection Authorities.

I know I am.  Let’s hear some bids!

Apple is only  bigger than Rod.

Rod Stewart’s computers would not be big for another eight years, and certainly at this stage hasn’t put out any electronics.

Semi related: anyone else feel weird about doing a web search for ‘apple’ and the first result being the consumer product company instead of the food?

So every couple of seconds, as the LP rotates, the apple logo will be accidentally upside. Is this dangerous?

How do you figure? They’re the biggest company in the world. Even if they regress it won’t be a close the doors type scenario. Microsoft, Yahoo and IBM had big regressions, but they also didn’t just disappear. Even without Steve Jobs they’re still a lot brighter than the folks at RIM and would never let a slide get that bad. They know how to actually deliver products that people want to use in a timely fashion. Sure there are loads of folks who hopped on the Apple bandwagon because it’s the trendy thing, but reality is, at the end of the day Apple still makes very usable products that a large segment of people use for reasons beyond vanity.

So, you can own the rights to a photo of an object that is created by nature. Is it just that particular photo or any photo of an apple that resembles this one? What if one were to take a photo of a red apple of similar shape from a similar angle? Would that place that person in an actionable position?

    • http://lemoutan.blogspot.com/ Lemoutan

Dunno. Would you like to try it? It might be interesting.
