Wow, this makes it look like nearly everything is up and running again. Is that true?
Everything is colored by the end except for some little things like the R train between Manhattan and Brooklyn, the very end of the J and Z, and the end of the N train to Coney Island. These sections that are still down are probably really inconvenient for those who need them, but this looks far better than the apocalyptic stories we were hearing about huge sections of tracks needing to be replaced because of saltwater damage, and swaths of lower Manhattan being offline for months.
Or is the gif showing us a rosier picture than what’s really going on?
Inaccurate, apocalyptic, hyperbolic stories in the mainstream media? Impossible!
As a rider that used to get on and off at that end of the N train, just reminds me, at the end of the day, I’m still screwed.
Let’s be honest, South Ferry is never coming back. Just turn it into a coral reef already.
