My good friend Lee Costello is teaming up with Michael Blaha and actor David Dean Bottrell to produce SCI-FEST, Los Angeles' first, hopefully annual Science Fiction one act play festival.
Sounds like they have some great projects already in the works and I'm eager to see them! Lee has been producing great shows in LA for decades and is a real pleasure to work with. A rare combo in LA entertainment.

I'm pleased to announce the arrival of SCI-FEST: The 1st Annual Los Angeles Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival. The festival (which is the first of its kind) will consist of two rotating evenings of short sci-fi plays (sort of like mini "Twilight Zone" episodes).
Other than the iconic Ray Bradbury, few writers have ever experimented with presenting compelling science fiction stories on stage, so we're excited to be spearheading this completely unique festival. We're also happy to be presenting it here in Los Angeles — a city that has played a major role in the development and expansion of the genre.
On January 17, 2014, we will launch our Kickstarter campaign for Sci-Fest. The money raised will allow us to produce a beautifully realized, visually compelling festival of terrific new work featuring many well-known actors from some of your favorite Sci-Fi franchises.
Among the original one-act plays will be the first-ever stage adaptation of Sci-Fi legend, Ursula K. Le Guin's classic tale of transformation, "The Wife's Story." In addition, we'll be presenting a compelling new revival of Ray Bradbury's chilling one-act play "Kaleidoscope."
