The Guardian notes careful money management, but I take exception to the final paragraph.

His biggest hit album in the US, 1974's Sally Can't Dance, reached no higher than No 10, and he stalled his commercial momentum by following it with Metal Machine Music, four sides of white noise.

The Guardian is clearly a troll. It is not four sides of white noise. It says "Metal Machine Music" right there on the greatest album of 1975!
