Kickstarting a fund to translate and publish Chinese sf in English

Neil Clarke from the Hugo-winning Clarkesworld writes, "Clarkesworld Magazine has entered into an agreement with Storycom International in China to locate, translate, and publish Chinese science fiction stories in every issue."

They're after a modest $7500, most of which goes to paying authors (translation costs are already covered).

Science fiction is global (and particularly big in China), but very few works in translation make it to English language markets. We aim to change that.

We've turned to Kickstarter to help us fund the first year of this endeavor. Stretch goals include the establishment of a translation fund to publish works from additional languages in the magazine.
