And the Pantone color of the year for 2015 is… "Marsala."

Each Winter, Pantone announces a new color of the year. For 2015, it's this muted wine shade. I hate it.

It's like Taupe drank too much Burgundy and threw up all over a desaturated carpet blood-stained from a knife fight that happened like three weeks ago. Blergh. No, wait: Blergh-undy.

But maybe I'm just reacting to these cringe-worthy images from the Pantone website with which the announcement was unveiled.

Or no, wait, maybe it's the copy:

"The impactful, full-bodied qualities of Marsala make for an elegant, grounded statement color when used on its own or as a strong accent to many other colors."
