On our weekly Boing Boing news roundup, on the KCRW radio show 'Press Play'—A civilian video of a police officer killing an unarmed man in South Carolina went viral this week. It was that video that led to the arrest of the police officer for murder. This is not the first video of police violence to go viral. And, as is the case with most things in life, there's an app for that. App developers are working on a batch of apps that help civilians take and upload video of police interactions. Also, Facebook being sued over facial recognition software and privacy laws; and new emoji. WHY ARE THERE NO TACOS IN THE EMOJI SET.
