I'm loving the new music video for J. Cole's track 'Wet Dreamz' [iTunes, Amazon], from his '2014 Forest Hills Drive' album.

The video tells the story of how the rapper lost his virginity, and spins Cole's personal tale into a visual exploration of young love–told through some fine acting by adorable doggies.

It's directed by Ryan Staake, founder of Brooklyn-based design and production firm Pomp&Clout.

There's a great interview about the making of this music video at The Mill blog. "I racked my brain for a fitting visual analogy to communicate this," Staake says, "And kept on coming back to this idea of naive, innocent puppies falling all over each other, learning to be friends."

Cool video, but to be accurate, any tale of dog romance should really involve more butt-sniffing than the director included in this one. Oh well.
